Indeedians in need of short-term disability can qualify for 100% company-paid coverage: 66.67% of your pre-disability weekly earnings up to $2,000 per week with a benefit period of 17 weeks. You must be disabled for 7 days before short-term disability benefits are payable.
If you are still disabled after receiving 17 weeks of short-term disability benefits, you are eligible for long-term disability. Long-term disability is also 100% company-paid. This includes 66.67% of your pre-disability monthly earnings up to $12,000 per month with a benefit period up to age 65. You must be disabled for the entire short-term disability period before long-term disability benefits are payable.
